Adrian Szczepaniak - congratulations
Congratulations to our PhD student! Mr. Adrian Szczepaniak - PhD student from the Laboratory of Neurooncology - became a scholarship holder of the "Exchange to the US" program of The Kosciuszko Foundation. The scholarship will enable Adrian to carry out a research project at Brown University.
The congratulatory letters were handed over during a ceremony at the residence of the United States Ambassador to Poland, J.E. Mark Brzezinski.
We wish you success, gaining valuable experience, making inspiring acquaintances and a lot of joy and beautiful experiences!

Congratulations to Monika Słupecka-Ziemilska, PhD from the Clinical Department of Human Epigenetics in our Institute, who received a SONATA BIS grant of nearly PLN 3,7 million from the National Science Center for the project:
"The effect of maternal treatment with metformin in pregnancy and lactation on programming metabolic adverse conditions in the offspring - long-term functional and epigenetic studies."
The project aims to investigate the effects of maternal treatment with metformin in pregnancy and lactation on the trajectory of offspring development and possible changes in their epigenome.

A year has passsed since the invasion of Ukraine. We constantly remain in solidarity with the Ukrainian nation.
The message we posted a year ago, a few hours after the invasion remains valid!
The Board of Directors, Scientific Council and Employees of the Mossakowski Medical Research Institute, Polish Academy of Sciences
are shocked by today's events in Ukraine
1. We condemn Russia's aggression against the sovereign state of Ukraine;
2. We express our solidarity with the Ukrainian people;
3. We declare our will to provide all possible help to Ukrainian citizens who are or will find themselves in the territory of The Republic of Poland.
