Scope of services:

The Laboratory of Genetically Modified Animals is a separate unit of a higher zoo-hygienic standard which offers infrastructure to:

- conduct research on standard laboratory animals e.g. C57BL, BALB/c mice, transgenic animals, or immune-compromised animals e.g. BALB/c Nude, NOD SCID mice in accordance with the protocol by Local Ethical Committee

- provide comprehensive breeding including the import of breeding pairs, breeding in compliance with the protocol by the Ordering Party, multiplication and delivery of a specified batch of animals to the Ordering Party.  We offer transport of animals to the seat of the Ordering Party within Warsaw area

- maintenance of the animals in the experiment in line with the needs of the Ordering Party

- chargeable access to the laboratory infrastructure (cages, IVC, operation room) for the specified research protocol

 
In addition, the laboratory offers:

- substantive consultation on the research design (the choice of animal, the estimate of the number of animals, application to the Local Ethical Committee)

- labelling, genetic material collection, genotyping after the genotyping protocol has been delivered

- surgical procedures

- biological material collection for analyses

- substance admission  (iv, ip, im, it, po)

- mice immunisation

- animal euthanasia with CO2 and O2 mixture
