Scientific Council 2023-26
On February 2nd the inaugural meeting of the Scientific Council of Mossakowski Medical Research Institute PAS selected for the 2023-2026 term, was held.
During the first meeting of the Council, the Council's Presidium and members of: the Committee for Scientific Research, the Committee for Scientific Staff, and the Committee for PhD and Doctoral Studies were elected.
Congratulations to all of you on your appointments! We wish you a lot of satisfaction from working for the scientific development of our Institute!

Mossakowski Day 2022
Traditionally, in December we celebrate the Day of the Patron of the Institute - Professor Mirosław Mossakowski. This year, the ceremonial session of the Scientific Council on this occasion was even more special due to the 55th anniversary of MMRI PAS falling in 2022. We were honored by the arrival of many distinguished guests, including the wife of the Patron of the Institute, Professor Bibiana Mossakowska, Rector's Authorities of the Medical University of Warsaw, Directors of Institutes of the Polish Academy of Sciences and other friends and associates of our Institute.
We received words of congratulations and wishes, among others from the Dean - Elect of the 5th Division of the Polish Academy of Sciences Professor Marek Krawczyk and the Marshal of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship, Mr. Adam Struzik.
Director of the Institute Professor Leonora Bużańska presented habilitation and doctoral diplomas as well as distinctions of the Scientific Council and the Management Board, and also thanked the people who for many years supported the Institute with their work in the Scientific Council of MMRI PAS. Our Guest of Honor - oustanding oncologist Professor Cezary Szczylik delivered a very interesting lecture entitled "What the 21st century has brought to oncology".

At the invitation of the Rector, Prof. Bogusław Machaliński, the inauguration of the academic year 2022/2023 at the Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin was honored by the Director of MMRI PAS, Prof. Leonora Bużańska, PhD, DSc who delivered the opening lecture entitled "Brain organoids: a new dimension in modeling neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative diseases".
Many distinguished guests attended the ceremony, and the auditorium - for the first time after a pandemic break - was filled to the brim.
