Strategy for the development of scientific research in the field of cancer immunotherapy STRIM
The project was launched on September 1, 2025 at IMDiK under the supervision of Magdalena Winiarska, PhD.

The main goal is to improve the development of immunotherapy that will ultimately benefit cancer patients.
Necessary factors to achievie this goal:
Establishing long-term and stable collaborations
with foreign scientists developing new CAR-T treatments through partnerships with two European centers:
The result of the cooperation will be the improvement of scientists' competences thanks to the exchange of knowledge and experience during study visits to Partners, which will be another step towards the development of new methods of cancer immunotherapy.

Education of young, competent scientific staff thanks
to financing from funds allocated by NAWA for participation in conferences, workshops and trainings
Investing in the scientific development of young researchers will not only ensure that their competences are improved, which will be used in research on new ways to fight cancer, but will also instill in them the passion necessary to overcome the inevitable difficulties in scientific work.
How young scientists are educated thanks to the NAWA program: students and doctoral students working at MMRI PAS can be observed here:
- research trip to Geneva
Continuous training of scientific staff (especially young scientists) through active participation in scientific meetings organised at Mossakowski Medical Research Institute, including presentations of own research results and critical discussions of publications from leading scientific journals.
The list of speakers and their topics is available here: OPEN
You can follow the progress of this task here:
- Mikołaj Jacyno, a beginner PhD student at the Department of Immunology at MMRI PAS, expanded his knowledge of modern immunotherapy methods thanks to his participation in the virtual conference entitled "Next Generation Immunotherapies: From Innovative Approaches to Overcoming Resistance and Beyond".
The STRIM project also envisages the participation of young scientists from MMRI PAS in international scientific conferences ensuring contact with the latest achievements in cancer immunotherapies.

Continuing education of experienced scientific straff through participation in scientific conferences and professional trainings in project management, human potential and scientific cooperation.
